Why people leave
RentOK-style software is a cloud property stack: tenant app, listings, collection that often runs through their rails. People leave — or never start — for three boring reasons:
- A cut or a plan on money that already moved on UPI.
- A tenant product they do not want to force on every PG resident.
- A desktop habit when the owner is on a two-wheeler, not at a laptop.
An alternative that copies the same stack will feel the same. Pick the job you still need.

Go back to a sheet if the product was the problem
If you only needed a ledger and the product added a tenant app you never used, a spreadsheet is a valid alternative. You already know the cost: no PDF, no occupancy, arguments about last month. Many owners try the sheet again for a quarter, then want something simpler — that path is in our free rent apps piece.
Stay with a hosted product if you need the marketplace
If you still want tenants to apply online, pay inside someone else’s app, and show up in a public listing, switch to another hosted product — not to RentVelo. We do not replace a tenant marketplace. We will not pretend to.
RentVelo as a quieter alternative
Use RentVelo if the remaining job is owner-side: properties, tenants, paid or pending, a PDF receipt, optional electricity, data on the phone. That is a rent management app, not a second RentOK. PG owners who care about rooms more than listings should read the PG management page.
You keep collecting on UPI the way you already do. We do not sit in the middle of that payment.
